As the Director of Data and Analytics, you will take your passion for the virtues of data and analytics and obsess about critical business problems such as marketing attribution and ROI. You have leadership acumen, innate curiosity, are comfortable with complex analytical methods, and able to synthesize new strategies based on data.
Using your strong personal drive, self-motivation and effective communication, you will play a key role in supporting our guests by:
- Partnering with the Chief Digital and Analytics Officer to define and implement the long-term vision for data and analytics at DXL across infrastructure, people, processes, and partnerships
- Expanding and improving the strategic use of data in core, customer facing areas of the business
- Recommending strategic change founded upon analysis and synthesis of data
- Defining the improvement roadmap for critical data systems and data partners
- Developing forecasts, recommendations and strategic and tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge
- Building, developing, and leading the analytics team responsible for driving insights across website, marketing, and other key operational areas of the business
- Setting team goals and create professional development plans for each team member
We're looking for someone:
- With a bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in economics, applied math, or another quantitative field
- With 7+ years of prior direct-to-consumer or omnichannel retail experience in data-focused or analytically rich roles
- With 8+ years of experience in management/leadership roles
- With strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- With experience in SQL, SAS and/or SPSS
- With Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery
- With experience in analytical/data science concepts, statistical methods, and toolsets such as R and Python
