GENERAL SUMMARY: As a DXL Photographer you will conceptualize and photograph products in a high volume digital studio for e-commerce, print and social channels while maintaining photographic standards for quality and brand consistency. Collaborate with stylists and art directors concerning creative directives to achieve desired results. Excellent in post-capture processing skills and proficient in the latest photography software. Positive, creative thinker, very detail-oriented, organized, strong communicator that works well in a team environment or individually.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Main focus on producing high-quality images for e-commerce and social needs with the opportunity to photograph editorial/on-location shoots.
• Manage the processing of images and maintain digital files by utilizing established project and file naming conventions and for digital-file storage.
• Demonstrates creative sensibility and strong photographic and technical skills to meet production standards.
• Assist in supervising and training freelance photographers concerning job duties and expectations.
• Assist in maintaining the studio, photo equipment, sets, and props.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently on tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of video production, editing, motion graphics, and gifs is beneficial.
• Stay up-to-date on necessary software, equipment and photography practices.
• Additional responsibilities set by the manager or Creative Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experienced in product and on-figure photography including apparel, shoes, and accessories.
• Experienced in a variety of studio settings ranging from e-com to editorial as well as on location.
• Excellent in post-capture processing skills and proficient in the latest photography software.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates applied techniques and a working knowledge of lighting, compositions, color quality and aesthetics for both fashion and product photography.
• Proficient with Apple Computers, Capture One Pro 21, Adobe Photoshop 2022, Macintosh Operating Systems Big Sur and beyond. Profoto Studio Lighting Equipment.
• Must be able to maintain consistent color space and image processing standards.
• Technical knowledge of Canon camera systems and RAW image processing.
• Digital retouching and image archiving knowledge is required.

SKILLS:

• Ability to compose and provide minimal styling.
• Ability to interpret creative direction into tangible images with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and creative aptitude.
• Strong communication and people skills especially the ability to communicate with photographic subjects to put them at ease, encourage them and direct them.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as necessary to fulfill photography requirements (extended periods, nights, weekends).
